MARLATT A widely known and highly esteemed resident was called by death on Saturday in the person of Mary E. Marlatt, widow of D. A. Marlatt. Mrs. Marlatt, who was in her 64th year, passed away at the home of her sister, Mrs. George L. Langford, King Hiram Street, following an illness of considerably over a year. For some time she had been a patient sufferer, her strong Christian spirit manifesting itself at all times. The late Mrs. Marlatt formerly resided for many years at Waterford, and she came to Ingersoll some 5 years ago, after the death of her husband, and had since made her home with her sister. She was a daughter of the late Erastus Sage and her early life was spent in Dereham [township]. She possessed many estimable qualities which endeared her to all with survived by two sisters, Mrs. George L. Langford, Ingersoll; Mrs. Crabb, at Norwich; and one brother, Elsworth Sage, of Woodstock, Ontario. She was a member of the Baptist Church and a regular attendant so long as her health permitted.
