OH), wife Angeline [Manchester] (age 44, b. MO) and children Luella (age 18, b. WI), Clara (age 13, b. CA) and Frank (age 7, b. CA), living in Merced County, California. Flavel is listed as a "dairyman," and indicates that both his parents were born in Ohio. Angeline indicates that both her parents were born in New York. Living next door is their son, Matthew Hayford, and his family. Living two doors away is Henry Reynolds (age 32, b. WI), who may be a relation of the Reynolds family that Flavel was living with in Wisconsin in 1850.

Flavel is listed as a "farmer," and indicates that his father was born in Ohio and his mother in [poss.] Massachusetts [hard to read]. Angeline indicates that both her parents were born in New York. The couple indicate that they have been married for 43 years, but also indicate that they have had no children. It is possible that Lyda is a second wife of Flavel's, although the information given for her [except for the number of children] matches with that of his first wife, Angeline.
