WITTER, Joseph 2
General Notes: First married to Elizabeth Gore, who was the mother of their son, Ebenezer II. She died in 1761, and a year later Joseph remarried to Amie Wilcox, the widow of Daniel Meech. Joseph's son, Ebenezer II, then married Amy Meech, the daughter of Amie Wilcox and Daniel Meech! In 1807, Joseph's brother William's granddaughter, Rebecca Dunwell, married Joseph's greatgrandson, Erastus W. Crary, so both brothers appear in my direct family lineage! (Elizabeth GORE was born on 12 Jan 1704 in Roxbury, Suffolk, Massachusetts 5 and died on 9 Apr 1761 in Preston, New London County, Connecticut.)
