I believe it likely that Thomas is the son of Edward and Mary Haley, who were living in Lancaster County, Nebraska in 1880 [just prior to his marriage to Effie Lowell]. There is, however, some discrepancy between the birthdates for Thomas Edward on the 1880 census and 1900 census. More research is needed to confirm his parentage.

Thomas may have died in Clark County, Washington. He is last found living there with his son, Dwight, in 1930.

Thomas married Effie Jean LOWELL, daughter of Truman Pease LOWELL and Eleanor SHOEMAKER, about 1887 in prob. Nebraska. (Effie Jean LOWELL was born on 4 Feb 1867 in Fennimore, Grant County, Wisconsin and died on 18 May 1958 in Morgan County, Colorado.)
