4 Ingersoll Tribune (Ingersoll, Oxford County, Ontario, Canada). Surety: 4. DEATH NOTICE: REV. WILLIAM C. SAGE Relatives received word of the death at Oswego, Oregon, of Rev. William C. Sage, a native of Folden’s Corners, who was very widely known in Ingersoll and throughout this district. He was 76 years of age and had been away from the Folden’s district for upwards of 50 years. Rev. Mr. Sage’s health had not been of the best for some time, however, the announcement of his passing came as severe shock. Deceased had been pastor of Methodist churches in Dakota, Minnesota, Illinois and Oregon. He had only visited in this district occasionally during the past 25 years. He was here on an extended visit during the summer of 1935. He took part in one service in Trinity United Church at that time and also conducted a very impressive service at Folden’s, when a large congregation gathered to hear him. He was superannuated 2 years ago. Besides the widow he is survived by three sons, Paul in Philadelphia; Delbert, City Engineer, Portland, Oregon; Howard, Oswego; one sister, Mrs. George Uren, Ingersoll; and one brother, E. A. Sage, Folden’s Corners. Mrs. Sage was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Allen Sage of Folden’s Corners and will be remembered by many of the older residents in this district.
