Sage, well known and esteemed resident and businessman of Ingersoll, on Saturday morning last, at the family residence, Charles Street West. The late Mr. Sage, who was in his 58th year was born in East Oxford [township], and had for the past 14 years been a respected resident of Ingersoll, where he had made for himself a wide circle of friends. During the past 6 years, Mr. Sage has operated a successful service station on Charles St. E., and prior to this time he was in charge of a tobacco store on Thames Street. Left to mourn the passing of a beloved husband and father are his widow and two daughters, Misses Martha and Edith, both at home. Also surviving are two brothers and two sisters as follows: Zechariah of Beachville; William, Ingersoll; Miss Anna Sage, Ingersoll; and Mrs. C. Crane of Brantford, to all of whom sincere sympathy is extended in their sad bereavement. The funeral was held on Monday afternoon from the family residence, Charles St. E., with service at 2:30 o'clock conducted by Rev. Dr. H. H. Turner, pastor of St. Paul's Presbyterian Church. There was a large attendance at the service, which with the beautiful floral tokens were tributes of the esteem in which deceased was held and sympathy for the sorrowing family. The pallbearers were Fred Franks, Ford Hawkins, D. A. Bonesteel, E. Olmstead, Walter Cline, John Borland.
