According to family lore, Rudolph owned the largest dairy farm in the Upper Penninsula. The Schneider property included a portion of the AuSable River, which was later donated to the state of Michigan by their grandson, Rudy Goupille. Walking trails currently lead visitors to AuSable Falls, which was known in the family as Rudy's Falls. The photograph is of this area.
