General Notes: Elias and Margaret spent most of their lives in Perry, Indiana. They moved to Wisconsin sometime between 1850 - 1860, where Elias passed away. Elias last appears on the 1850 US Census, living in Perry, Indiana with Margaret and all children except William. On this census, James M. Curry is listed as an "invalid." Elias served during the War of 1812, in Captain LaSalle's Company, Mounted Riflemen, Indiana Militia. His brother, Calvin, served in the same regiment. Noted events in his life were: • Military Service: War of 1812. Served as a private in the Indiana Militia, Mounted Riflemen, commanded by Captain LaSalle.
