1 1820 US Census (Sullivan County, Indiana). Repository: Ancestry. Surety: 2. Lists William Curry (age >45, b. 1775 or earlier), wife (age >45, b. 1775 or earlier) and children 1 male (age <5, b. 1815-1820), 1 male (age 5-10, b. 1810-1815), 1 male (age 20-30, b. 1790-1800), 1 female (age <5, b. 1815-1820), 1 female (age 5-10, b. 1810-1815) and one female (age 20-30, b. 1790-1800), living in Sullivan County, Indiana. The older male and female children may be a married son or daughter and their spouse (possibly daughter, Mary, and her husband, George Klemm, or son Calvin and his wife), and the youngest children may be grandchildren of William. Living nearby are (we believe) William's sons, John, Elias, Samuel and Robert, as well as Rebecca Daniels (widow of Peter Daniels), whose three daughters married Curry brothers, Rebecca's son, Joseph Daniels, and her son-in-law, Charles Morgan (who married Rebecca's daughter, Mary Polly Daniels). Rebecca Daniels' daughter, Elizabeth, married John Shoemaker, nephew of (we believe) William Curry's wife. The presence of all these family members in Sullivan County lends support to the theory that Shoemaker and Curry families are connected.

Following the list of items, their value and the names of the purchasers, it reads, "State of Indiana, Vigo County. Sworn before me, Justice of the Peace of said county this 27th day of April, A.D. 1833. C.T. Noble, J.P." [State Seal].
