1 1910 US Census (District 2, Burt Township, Alger County, Michigan). Surety: 4. Lists Samuel Veillette (age 48, b. Fr. Canada), widower, and children Jennie (age 18, b. MI), Ralph P. (age 15, b. MI), Lester (age 14, b. MI), Austin (age 12, b. MI), Louise (age 10, b. MI), Valerie (age 8, b. MI) and Ora (age 6, b. MI). Also in the household is a "grandson" named Dorman [Norman] (age <1, b. MI), who is Jennie's child. Samuel is listed as a "laborer" for a "lumber camp," and indicates that both his parents were born in French Canada. He also indicates that he came to the U.S. in 1880 and is not naturalized.

2 1920 US Census, District 328, Detroit Ward 11, Wayne County, Michigan. Surety: 4. Lists Louise (age 19, b. MI), Valerie (age 17, b. MI) and Aurora (age 15, b. MI) Veillette, living in the St. Vincent's Orphan Asylum in Detroit, Michigan. All the girls erroneously list their father born in France and their mother in Michigan. Louise is listed as a "maid." Valerie and Aurora are both listed as "pupils."
