IL), Edward R. (age 9, b. IL), John H. (age 7, b. IL), Lorraine A. (age 5, b. IL), Howard Jr. (age 2, b. IL) and Alice A. (age 1, b. MI), living in Waterford, Michigan. Howard Sr. is listed as a "painter" at an "auto company," and indicates that both his parents were born in Illinois. Mabel indicates that her father was born in Wisconsin and her mother in Illinois. The couple indicate that they married when Howard was age 23 and Mabel age 18. Living next door is Howard Sr.'s brother, Walter E. Keith, and his family.

He was born Feb. 8, 1921, in Freeport, the son of Howard and Mabel (Keehn) Keith. He married Regina E. Rick on Dec. 19, 1942, in St. Louis, Mo.

He was educated in the Freeport grade schools. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Regina; two daughters, Diane (Mrs. Richard) O'Brien of East Moline and Dora Mae (Mrs. Roger) Wunderlin of Culleoka, Tenn.; three sons, LaVerne (Sandi) Keith of Morrison, Gary (Margaret) Keith of Divide, Colo., and Robert (Carla) Keith of Streator; nine grandchildren; eight step grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one step great grandchild; and four great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Jolene Wunderlin; three sisters, Lorraine Sporner, Patricia Hepler, and Alice Haas; and four brothers, Walter, John, Howard, and James Keith.

The funeral services were held previously.

A memorial has been established for The American Heart Association.
