1 Ingersoll Daily Chronicle (Ingersoll, Oxford County, Ontario, Canada). Surety: 4. CUTHBERT-BUDD A quiet and pretty wedding was solemnized at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Budd, West Oxford [township] on Wednesday evening, April 24th, at 7:30 o'clock. The contracting parties were Wesley J. Cuthbert and Miss Edith A. Budd and the ceremony was performed by the Rev. J. Pollock, of Salford. The bride entered the drawing room leaning on the arm of her father to the strains of Mendelssohn's wedding march, played by Miss Mabel Budd, sister of the bride. She was attired in a navy blue serge suit and wearing the gift of the groom, a beautiful gold watch. The house was prettily decorated with flowers and the table looked lovely with pink and white carnations and smilax. The wedding cake was served from the same plate as that used by the bride's grandmother 58 years ago. Mr. and Mrs. Cuthbert were the recipients of many useful and costly gifts among them being a number of handsome cheques, showing the high esteem in which the young couple was held by a wide circle of friends. Later in the evening the bride and groom left amid a shower of confetti for their home in West Oxford [township].
