4 Ingersoll Tribune (Ingersoll, Oxford County, Ontario, Canada). Surety: 4. DEATH NOTICE: VERNON BUDD DIES SUDDENLY A well known and esteemed resident of Lot 10, Concession 4, West Oxford [township] in the person of Vernon Budd passed away suddenly in Ingersoll on Saturday, April 11th, 1964. Mr. Budd who as in his 76th year, was born in Dereham [township]. A son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Budd and had been practically a lifelong resident of West Oxford [township], where he farmed. He was a member of Folden's United Church. Left to mourn the passing of a beloved brother, are three brothers, Wilbert [Pete], West Oxford [township]; Harry, Woodstock; Frank, Detroit; and four sisters, Miss Ethel Budd and Mrs. Edith Cuthbert, both of Ingersoll; Mrs. George Witty [Edna] of Foldens; and Mrs. Mable Barrett [sic] of Beachville; and a number of nieces and nephews, one brother, Albert predeceased him in January 1958. The funeral was held on Monday afternoon, April 13th, from the Walker and Clifton Funeral Home, 88 King St. W., where service was conducted at 2:30 o'clock by Rev. A. E. Menzies of Folden's United Church. The service was largely attended and there were many beautiful floral tributes also. Contributions to the Ontario Heart Fund and the Kiwanis Crippled Children's Fund. Interment was made in the family plot in Harris Street Cemetery, the casket bearers being, Audrey Meek, Harry Reeves, Douglas Millard, Thurwell Dunham, Roy Dawson and John Dewitt, Sr.
