DEATH NOTICE: GEORGE BUDD The death of George Budd, 18 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. George Wilbert Budd, West Oxford [township], occurred on Thursday evening, April 11th, following one week's illness from pneumonia. The young lad had been at school until he was taken ill with a cold a little over a week previous to his passing. He was very popular among his class mates and the sympathy of a wide circle of friends will be extended to the sorrowing paretns upon their great loss. Besides the parents the deceased was survived by one brother, William, and two sisters, Betty and Ruth. The funeral was held on Sunday afternoon from the residence of his grandmother, Mrs. A. J. Budd, Lot 10, Concession 4, West Oxford[township], to the Harris Street Cemetery. Service at 2:30 o'clock was conducted by Rev. G. I. VanLoon of Salford, and was very largely attended while many beautiful floral tributes were indicative of the sympathy of many friends. During the service a trio, 'The Upper Garden" was sung by Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Folden and Laurie Folden, accompanied by Mrs. Frank Folden. The bearers were George McNeil, Robert Wilson, George Miller, and Verne Cuthbert, all friends of the deceased and the flower bearers were Donnie Allin, Billy Miles, David Wilson, Herbert Rawlings, Donnie Foster and Laurie Folden.
