RETA JANE RUCKLE IS LOVELY BRIDE Ferns, palms, summer flowers in pink tones and lighted candles decorated the West Oxford United Church on June 30th, for the wedding of Reta Jane, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Spencer Ruckle and Mr. William Kenneth Budd, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Wesley Budd of Beachville. The Rev. John Watson officiated for the double ring ceremony and Miss Edith Making was the organist. Mrs. Harold Uren, aunt of the groom sang two solos. The pretty bride given in marriage by her father, wore lace and net over satin, styled with a formal lace bodice, and bouffant skirt of alternating lace and net panels. A redingote of lace and net dipped into a slight train. A matching headdress held a finger-tip illusion veil and she carried a cascade of orchids. The maid of honour, Miss Ruth Ruckle and bridesmaids, Miss Edith Ruckel and Miss Ruth Budd, were gowned alike in nylon marquisette in an orchid shade. The dresses were made with formal tops little marquisette capes and bouffant skirts, featuring tiers at the sides. They wore matching crownless picture hats of mohair and net with ribbon in a deeper shade and carried sprays of shasta daisies shaded from yellow to gold and trimmed with cream ribbons. The groomsman was James MacKay and the ushers, Glen Mayberry and Donald Allin, all of Ingersoll. At a reception in the church parlours, Mrs. Ruckle received the guests wearing a navy silk patterned dress with nylon net redingote, navy accessories and corsage of Johanna Hill roses. The groom's mother wore navy silk with white trim and corsage of American Beauty roses and stephanotis. The bride and groom left for a motor trip trough the Great Lakes district. The bride's travelling costume was a ice blue summer suit in dressmaker style with lilac accessories and a corsage of orchids. They will reside in Ingersoll.
